"My heart is in anguish within me;
the terrors of death have fallen on me.
Fear and trembling have beset me;
horror has overwhelmed me.
I said, “Oh, that I had the wings of a dove!
I would fly away and be at rest.
I would flee far away
and stay in the desert;
I would hurry to my place of shelter,
far from the tempest and storm.”
Psalm 55:4-8
We sometimes go through turmoil and pain in our lives. Such pain seems absolutely unbearable. It can be to the point of outrageous fear and trembling. Jesus is the answer! He meets us in the pain, and can deliver us out of it. Regardless, of what the situation is, He can put us at peace - in the midst of tremendous conflict and tension.
Pray for those that are going through such turmoil to turn to Jesus/ to turn and find the place of rest in HIM and to be filled with the Spirit of God so that they live in the Shelter of the Almighty!
Jesus, we pray that you would touch our friends that are going through conflict and have anguish and fear in their hearts… Jesus, draw them into your beauty and hide them in your shelter! Flood them with your peace so they can be at rest! Lord, open their eyes to who you are so they may see your beauty!
