"My beloved calls to me,
“Arise, my darling.
Come away with me, my beautiful one.
For now the winter is past;
the rain is over and gone.
The flowers have appeared in the countryside;
the season of singing has come,
and the cooing of turtledoves
is heard in our land.
The fig tree ripens its figs;
the blossoming vines spread their fragrance.
Arise, come away, my darling;
come away with me, my beautiful one.”
>>The Bridegroom
"O my dove in the clefts of the rock,
in the crevices of the cliff,
let me see your face,
let me hear your voice;
for your voice is sweet,
and your countenance is lovely."
— Song of Solomon 2:10-14 BSB
This is love. The Book of Solomon is a representation of how God adores us. The most romantic love story is written out with Jesus coming and dying for his bride. Consider the extravagant love Jesus has for us.
He speaks to us and calls us to ‘Arise, my darling.’
May this passage of scripture open our eyes to see how God truly loves us. He absolutely love us and wants us to be set free from our sin so that we might experience real love - not some fake counterfeit that the enemy schemes. It is not what the world has to offer but real, deep, genuine, pure love.
Give your life over to love God. Be captivated by His beauty. He sends you flowers and beautiful sunrises. He desires to be in a deep relationship and to hear your voice and prayers. He loves to see you smile and hear your heart. His creation day after day is an expression of love to you. Next time you see a flower, or the buds on the tree, consider how the beauty is God's love to you. Receive His love.
Pray for others that they may know God in a new way, that they would turn away from other ‘loves’ and turn to God and find peace.
