April 15th, 2022
Spiritus, a creative arts organization, has officially taken flight.  Spiritus is a collection of artisans, musicians, and creatives of all types that are focused on loving Jesus wholeheartedly and have a passion for expressing their love in a myriad of ways.

“Spiritus is our alabaster jar to God. We want to pour out our love in creative ways to Jesus. I felt led to start this as the Lord was stirring in me an avenue to demonstrate our love for Him, for His message to go out in unique ways, and for a place for artisans of all types to come together,” said Nathan Skaggs, Founder, and Creative Director.

Skaggs further outlined the purpose, “Everywhere we look, we see the beauty of God. Creation is a masterpiece. It is magnificent to see how all of it works and flows together. The human body is marvelous in all the intricacies, sequences, mobility, and functions. Even more meaningful is how God has created us for relationships with unique ways to communicate our hearts and emotions. From the depths of the ocean to the expanse of the sky… we are in awe! We were designed to communicate our love, create, innovate, and invent. Spiritus will endeavor to explore a vast array of ways to express creativity from the arts, writing, music, architecture, engineering, robotics, and more. Creativity is needed in every aspect of our lives.

We will be focusing on children as well because we want to see the next generation to be full of love, joy, power, and be able to declare the wondrous works of God.”

The vision is vastly broad, but the first few steps for Spiritus will be simple. There are plans to release artwork, new songs, books, and events, as well as commissioning works.

ARISE ART SHOW »
spiritusarts.org/arise

Spiritus’ first initiative is an online art show called ‘Arise,’ beginning on Easter and continuing through Pentecost — 50 days from April 17th through June 5th. Artwork of birds will be released daily as a creative act. ‘Arise’ has multiple meanings: the lift-off of the organization, believers coming to life, and calling forth artisans to be set free. Artwork will be released daily on the website and through social media during the show.
